Tend/er series: Writing Pain

Sale Price: £120.00 Original Price: £140.00

Thursdays 8-9pm - 4 weeks - November 13th, 20th, 27th and 4th of December.

This is a four week writing course, the first of a series I am writing on tender topics. An opportunity to tend to a writing practice. An opportunity to er - to pause and reflect, to be with yourself. An opportunity for accountability and to be part of a group, all writing together once a week for an hour.

“I joined the tend/er: writing pain series as I was keen to have a dedicated space to write and the theme  intrigued me. The moment the series started all my expectations were exceeded. Every session was researched and facilitated with so much care and creativity that the writing happened naturally.   Each week you could see all of us participants growing in confidence about our writing and seeing pain through a different lens: sometimes from up close, sometimes from a distance.

I would definitely recommend these series to anyone who enjoys writing. The hour goes fast but everyone has time to write, reflect and share.

I will definitely join another workshop or course from Caroline in the future and look forward to reading more by her.”    - Daniela

“The creativity and playfulness Caroline brought to the experience had me looking at my pain and the thoughts and feelings surrounding it in ways I never have before and frankly never would have without her prompts. It was so freeing to think and write about my experiences this way, and I now have a treasure trove of places to play in, that feel like the antidote to the usual way these experiences are talked about. I also adored all of the examples that Caroline provided - some incited a potent silliness in me, others had my jaw dropping in awe at the magic she weaves with her words. I felt like I could swim in them for days and I think this added to my ability to explore different avenues in my own writing.” -Ruth

“Caroline brings an attentiveness to the subject matter that allows it to be held in such a nurturing way, where its not scrutinised or prodded at but just accepted. There is so much thought and love seen in her planning of the whole course. It is a profound and beautiful space she has created” - Anna

“As somebody who values words but struggles to articulate themselves, this was a really great starting point to expressing and thinking about pain differently. I really enjoyed it” - Abi

“It's been difficult to bring vulnerability and openness when exploring and communicating through pain. It felt less isolating to hear others write and share about their experiences” - Josh
