The Details:

When? First Thursday of every month. Starting the 6th of November. 7.30pm

Where? Location revealed on booking. It is a beautiful, cosy space in South East London.

What? A 75 minute writing workshop co-facilitated by Caroline Druitt and Mariam Saidan. Two poems on a theme shared & discussed followed by generative writing prompts.

Then? 45 minutes of drinks, time to share and a chance for conversation and connection.

How much? £20 to include workshop & a glass of something nice.

Mariam Saidan is a poet whose work has been published in magazines and anthologies, with recognition from Magma Poetry and the Rialto Nature & Place competitions. Her poem Singing Eyes of Iran was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and her debut pamphlet is forthcoming. Drawing on her background in Human Rights Law and advocacy for women, her writing explores themes of women’s rights, dislocation, immigration, and identity.

Caroline Druitt is an artist, writer and facilitator. Her poems have been published by Lucent Dreaming, The North Magazine, And Other Poems, The Alchemy Spoon among others and commissioned by Apples and Snakes. In 2023 she was long-listed for the Outspoken Prize for Page Poetry, shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award and commended in the National Poetry Competition. She is a 2025/26 London Library Emerging Writer. She runs writing workshops across London and online.
